Cold weather is upon us now but I think its manageable better than the rainy seasons, with a bit of sun out there you can still have an enjoyable round of golf on your home course. The greens and the fairways are still in the best conditions ever for this time of the year and with the upcoming Chapman Annual Fundraising Golf Day we are ready and set good to go.
Remember we are open every day of the year except on Xmas Day and our services range from the golf course, business lunch, corporate functions facilities, Sunday lunch 3 course menus and any event you may wish us to host for you.

Club News
The month of May was filled with a lot of activities including a number of fundraising golf days,golf tournaments , Nomdas Nationals and also the Men’s and Ladies Club Championships.
The Nomads Nationals were hosted from the 1st -3rd of May 2016. Attended by FIVE International countries , which included Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Australia and 3 Zimbabwean Provinces, Mashonaland, Matebeleland and Midlands were just the best.

MAY 2016 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Men’s Club Championship
The 2016 Club Championships for the Men were held from the 8th -9th of May 2016. The Championships participated by over 120 members with a full field, were not to be missed. As these are the most exciting and thrilling Championships for all the golfers in the Club, everyone wanted to be part of it. The two days started at early hours (6am) with teas and juices for all players before they went on the course hoping to be the Men’s Club Championship for 2016. Unfortunately every game has one winner and the most impressive performance came from one of the youngest men golfers. Congratulations to Tafara Mpofu for winning the Men’s Club Championship. We would like to thank the Ladies Section for their assistance at the tee boxes and making sure these Championships were a success.

Ladies Club Championship
The Ladies Club Championships were held from the 21st – 22nd of May 2016. The Championships were just as exciting with over 30 ladies playing and having almost 5 of those 30 being young girls under the age of 18. The ladies will agree with me that it was a great tournament for them. Once again an amazing performance from Danielle Bekker who landed herself the 2016 Ladies Club Championship Trophy. Congratulations Danielle for reclaiming the ladies Championship. l must say, well done to all our junior golfers , they are really doing it as seen by Margret Nyamukondiwa who was the runner up for the Championship. Well done GIRLS !!!!!!

Ø The Range has new range balls.
Ø Please note the range balls belong to the range and we would appreciate it if players would throw back or return stray range balls found on the perimeter of the range. 2 brand new range balls were found in the ladies locker room??????. Use of range balls on the golf course is prohibited.
Ø Our winter closing time for Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays is 5.30pm. Last balls sold at 5pm.

Members are advised to rent a locker for safe keeping of your belongings at the club. Rental fees are only $40 for the whole year, daily rental are $2, please safeguard you valuables and for those who own lockers renew your rental fees. Contact Patience at the Front Office for more details if you require a locker. Please note lockers are club property for rental and lockers not paid for will be opened for allocation to other members.

CONDOLENCES
The Chapman Board of Management, President, Vice President, Captain, Management and Staff of Chapman Golf Club would like to convey their sincere condolences following the death of Mr E. Sithole and Mr J. Nyakonda who passed on the 1st of May.
Our deepest sympathy goes to their families. May their souls rest in peace.
